Welcome to our Archives website
This is the archives website for The Local Paper and Melbourne Observer newspapers in Victoria, Australia.
We are building an easy-to-use website where you can find Back Copies of newspapers produced by Local Media Pty Ltd. It’s free. You can download any issue of your choice, read it online, save the file if you wish, and print on your own device if you want.
Hard copies of the newspapers are in the process being transferred to the State Library of Victoria, 328 Swanston St, Melbourne. Contact them in advance to apply for a time and date to inspect their files.
